The use of public areas is intended for everyone and under equal conditions. Their construction, reconstruction and maintenance are of interest not only to the owners and users. Public city areas in the sense of this article are roads, squares and pedestrian zones owned by local self-government, which contain public underground and above-ground infrastructure in their corridors in addition to vehicular/pedestrian areas. The final result of the reconstruction of public areas is influenced by: exhaustive and accurate information about the existing underground installations; inclusion of all investors in the renovation; the quality of the reconstruction project; organization of works on the construction site adjusted to the actual situation and needs of citizens; public work. The aim of the paper is to propose a schematic model of the steps in the implementation of the reconstruction of communal infrastructure in public spaces. The proposed model consists of three phases of realization. In all phases, a key expert team of investors is trained for management, implementation and continuous monitoring of the investment. The scientific contribution of the article is the deepening of knowledge about procedures in the reconstruction of communal infrastructure in public areas, as a specific type of urban renewal.

Model of the Organization of the Reconstruction of Public Areas from the Investor's Point of View
