Situational Specificity, Validity Criteria, and the Design of Measurement Validation Studies in Youth Development
摘要
This chapter provides an overview of how the notion of situational specificity informs how researchers approach constructing validity criteria in research in youth development, with an emphasis on detailing the context-specific nature of many of the instruments used as validity criteria in this area of scholarship (e.g., classroom and home observations, family discussions, peer interactions, standardized tests, physiological reactivity to behavioral tasks).
