Slab-on-Grade Thermal Benefits in Green Residential Buildings
摘要
We are examining slab-on-grade thermal benefits in green residential buildings. Significant heat losses at the ground floor slab especially noticeable without thermal insulation. By increasing compactness of the first floor is an effective means of controlling thermal losses via the ground. Moderate thermal insulation of slab edge allows to reduce heat losses to 22.8%. Increasing thermal insulation of the slab edge reduces the heat losses via the ground by up to 38%. This technology helps to equalize the temperature patterns on inner surface of building component and can provide comfortable indoor conditions. Maximizing reduction in heat losses via the ground occurs with increased thermal insulation of the slab-on-grade (about 73%). This technology provides the maximum heat-insulating effect and meets the requirements of green housing construction in the temperate climate of Russia and several other regions. Furthermore, research can be related to the clarification of the thermal performance of the floor on the ground in green residential buildings in dynamic approximation.
