The growth of the urban population entails serious social, economic and environmental problems. Due to the density of urban development in many megacities, there is practically no space left for green spaces, parks, squares. Not only urban recreational areas are shrinking, but also suburban green spaces that serve as urban green belts. Such green belts are a source of oxygen, a zone of conservation of biodiversity of phyto- and zoocenoses, migration routes for biota from the urban environment to the natural one and vice versa. In addition, they maintain the climatic balance of the urban system, protecting it from wind, temperature changes, flooding, landslides and floods. Therefore, it is more profitable to give it for development, and not to create recreation areas. The indicated problem is of high relevance for China, therefore, the practice of building green roofs is of particular importance for its solution In the process of research, special attention is paid to such aspects as the development of standards and the implementation of China's state policy in the field of green roof construction. Particular emphasis is placed on the green roof configurations used in China. Also, on specific examples, projects for greening the roofs of houses that have already been implemented to date are considered. Separately, promising technologies are highlighted that will make it possible to reduce the cost and optimize projects for the construction of green roofs in China.

摘要
