Augmented Didactic: Interacting with 3D Models to Enhance the Memory Systems
摘要
This contribution represents the fifth phase of a research project entitled Augmented Didactic, that aimed at investigating the benefits of using Augmented Reality (AR) in education. In this new research, the focus was on exploring the impact of AR on memory systems, specifically visuo-spatial and semantic memory, in undergraduates’ students. The analysis of the results reveals an enhanced memorization of the presented concepts in terms of recognition and localization of brain areas (+28%). It is highlighted that through the support of AR, students develop a greater self-awareness, leading to an overall improvement in the learning processes, positively influencing academic performance and the experience of concept acquisition.
