Diagnosis and Management of Wilms Tumor in Resource-Constrained Settings: Evidence and Outcomes Based Approach to Care
摘要
Wilms tumor survival in low- and middle-income countries is poor and attributed to late presentation, associated malnutrition and treatment abandonment. Limited prospective data exist on treatment outcomes which suggest improved survival with a multi-modal protocolized, collaborative treatment approach. Evidence-based guidelines for low-resource settings are derived predominantly from a rational approach based on high-resource country data.
