Chylothorax is a debilitating condition. Early robotic assisted ligation of thoracic duct for failed conservative management provides good clinical outcome and effective solution to the problem. VATS and robotic surgery can be used. Robotics provides better visualisation and manoeuvrability near the diaphragmatic recess. Mass ligation, Suturing and tying knots with robotics is easier than VATS and facilitates accurate control of the problem.
