Eventration of the diaphragm is a clinical condition characterised by the elevation of a portion of the diaphragm, patients are sometimes symptomatic with dyspnoea on exertion. Common causes of eventration include compression with a mediastinal mass, phrenic nerve injury, post surgery and viral infections. Diagnosis typically involves a chest X-ray, CT scan and fluoroscopy.
