Robotic subxiphoid thymectomy has been recently adopted. It is a highly applicable procedure used for the treatment of thymic tumors and myasthenia gravis, regardless of tumor location and size. Robotic technology, in addition to the subxiphoid approach, is expanding its surgical indications attributable to its advantages of providing a great surgical view and allowing sophisticated surgical manipulation. Here, we describe the technical aspects and considerations of robotic subxiphoid thymectomy.
