Digital Human Resource Management: Innovative Methods to Build a People-Centred Organisation in the Healthcare Industry
摘要
The management of human resources is increasingly leveraging digital innovation to enhance strategic decisions related to the governance of people within organisations. In particular, digital human resource management is a trend of major interest for scholars and practitioners in the current scenario, characterised by growing volatility, uncertainty and complexity. Such conditions in fact require organisations to increasingly put human resources at the centre of their resilience-building and transformation processes. Advanced decision support capabilities are crucial to build people-centred organisations. New theory contributions and practitioner advancements are thus needed to provide robust conceptual frameworks and real-life applications. Given such a scenario, this chapter analyses digital innovation in the HR function in the healthcare sector as a challenging and complex domain. The chapter also reports the experience of the Meir Medical Centre, part of the Clalit Health Services Group, the largest provider of health services in Israel. Lessons and managerial guidelines are extracted and presented to HR managers aiming to undertake successful initiatives of digital-enhanced HR.
