Organizational behavior has been analyzed at the level of individual performance, in order to obtain sustainable competitive advantage. Invariably, leadership styles occupy a preponderant position in developing and improving skills that are crucial to the organization's success. Similarly, emotional intelligence (EI) is a cornerstone for the incorporation of these skills. In this sense, an approach to the interaction between leadership style and organizational behavior requires considering EI as an indispensable capacity. From a psychological perspective, a critical review of the literature was carried out to discuss the main approaches and influences of EI and leadership on organizational behavior. This chapter enriches the literature by providing new insights into the emotional dimension in leadership and, in particular, in the organizational context.

摘要
