‘People Come Bearing Gifts’: Generating Cross-Cultural Coaching Interventions Through Understanding the Experiences of the International Workforce in Large UK Organisations

The chapter explores the experiences of international employees within large UK organisations. It explores how diverse cultures interact and are led in the workplace. Using semi-structured interviews with senior leaders from the international workforce, the study investigates their professional journeys, challenges, and opportunities. Key themes such as cultural integration, professional development, and support structures are identified. The research emphasises the importance of fostering inclusive work environments and organisational interventions to better support international staff. The study also highlights challenges related to data interpretation and small sample sizes, impacting the depth of analysis and findings within this field, and recommends improved leadership practices.
