Ensuring high-quality services and patient satisfaction is a paramount concern in the healthcare industry. One crucial aspect that significantly impacts this is the waiting time. Particularly for outpatient services, this factor becomes even more critical as patients already face an initial waiting period between receiving a prescription and undergoing the actual visit. The objective of this study is to examine the waiting time for initial cardiology appointments among residents of the Local Health Authority of Benevento, located in southern Italy. The findings indicate that the wait times in 2022 were longer compared to 2021, despite an observed increase in demand.
