COVID-19 had a major impact on health systems around the world. Healthcare management to cope with the emergency has converged all resources, blocking, at the most critical times, access to elective care. Outpatient services, however, represent an important portion of hospital activity for which quality service must be ensured. One element that significantly indexes the quality perceived by citizens is waiting time. In this study, the waiting time (from prescription to visit) for a set of services of national interest was analyzed by collecting data from citizens of Local Health Authority Benevento in the biennium 2021–2022. The data show that in 2022 there was an extension of waiting time in response to increasing demand, especially for first visits and for older citizens.

摘要
