Spotlight on Public Administration and Project Management in Nigeria: Discovery of New Frontier Through Emerging Trends and Technology

Nigerian public administrative system is characterized by bureaucracy, inefficiency, and a need for more transparency. These hamper advancements in project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and communication in project management practices. Also, low technologies affect project lifecycles, streamlining and stifling collaboration, enabling project monitoring and evaluation in project management. The study explored the impact of emerging trends and technology on public administration and project management in Nigeria. It seeks to identify and analyze the new frontiers that have been discovered through the adoption and integration of this technology in Nigerian public service. It highlights the potential for these advancements to revolutionize governance and project execution, ultimately propelling Nigeria towards a new frontier. The research is explorative, and it utilizes an interpretive qualitative paradigm for data collection methods. Secondary data were obtained from relevant literature and reports. The study revealed that emerging trends and technology have significantly transformed Nigeria's public administration and project management practices. Adopting digital tools, data analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence has enhanced efficiency, transparency, and decision-making processes within the public sector.
