The chapter aspires to provide the scientific community with a logically built proposal for general measuring of a societal (generic) crisis, both in its singular occurrence and as overlapped crises. After a short remembering of the concepts of systems theory—observability, accessibility, predictability and controllability—the parameters of a crisis are identified and assessed. Some methods of normalization of the numerical values assigned to the singular crisis parameters are proposed and (stylized) illustrated. Based on singular crisis findings in the measurement matter, the measurement in the case of overlapped crises (exemplified by two generic societal crises overlapping) is also proposed and illustrated in a general and abstract way. Through a conceptual interdisciplinary transfer, a Ponzi (possible) scheme is signalled in the matter of crisis phenomenology, for the case of nominal crisis (i.e., a crisis based on the nominal economic flows—as shown in Chap. 4 ). The last part of the chapter is dedicated to the issue of predictability in the matter of societal generic crisis—either singular or overlapped—by identifying a so-called crisis phenomenology arrow, from two perspectives: the constructal law and the minimum entropic gradient principle (the last perspective being the author’s proposition).

摘要
