The manufacturing industry has made significant advancements by implementing sustainable business strategies in this field. This chapter aims explore the widely adopted sustainable practices to identify the sustainable business models in the manufacturing industry. Through a thorough examination of existing literature, this chapter presents a comprehensive framework that emphasizes four interrelated approaches in manufacturing sector namely additive manufacturing, lean manufacturing, waste management, and sustainable product design and development. Literature suggests that there has been empirical research conducted to examine the impact of sustainability in manufacturing on social and environmental aspects along with economic output. In general, there is a continuous shift towards implementing sustainable business practices throughout the manufacturing industry. The chapter offers valuable information to scholars and professionals regarding the implementation of sustainable business models across manufacturing organizations and how it benefits their stakeholders.
