Robotics in Neurointervention
摘要
Neurointervention refers to the endovascular treatment of vascular disorders affecting the brain and spine. It is a novel treatment approach reflecting a rapidly expanding field with a continuously broadening scope of practice. Clinical use of robotic technology within the specialty is still in its infancy but shows promise to refine surgical precision, decrease occupational risks, and globalize care. Given the acceleration of robotic development throughout surgical subspecialties over the past decade, coupled with the recent surge of software development in artificial intelligence, understanding how these technologies can be optimized for neurovascular care is paramount. Here, we discuss how robotics and AI systems are implemented in neurointervention, focusing on current challenges and future aims and directions.
