Investigation of Single-Phase Flow Characteristics in Roughness Microchannels Using 3D Boundary Element Method
摘要
To predict the behavior of reservoir fluids in the porous medium and study them at the macro level, a detailed study of hydrodynamic flows in the porous medium at the microscale at the level of individual pores, taking into account their structural features. This work is dedicated to the application of the computational approach to study the single-phase flow characteristics in roughness microchannels. Numerical approach is based on the accelerated tree-dimensional Boundary Element Method. The influence of irregularities of different shapes and their relative arrangement on the side walls of microchannels on the viscous fluid flow in the Stokes regime has been studied. The results of this work can also be useful in the design of microfluidic devices, as well as microheat exchangers.
