Edible mushrooms are emerging as vital components in sustainable agriculture and environmental monitoring due to their ability to enhance soil health, improve water management, and serve as sensitive indicators of ecological well-being. This chapter explores the innovative concept of mycoremediation, illustrating how edible mushrooms can significantly contribute to sustainable water management. By utilizing fungal mycelium, it is possible to naturally filter water and break down pollutants, offering an eco-friendly solution to water pollution challenges.
