Point-of-care ultrasound and critical care echocardiography teaching programs have implemented various strategies to train their learners. Regardless of the individual program’s idea of success, several features are common to successful programs including faculty availability and intensive training sessions. Successful programs utilize methods for longitudinal education and spaced learning. There are many avenues to achieve this, and this chapter will discuss some popular and unique ideas. Finally, successful programs must assess learners and the program itself in order to ensure learners are obtaining desired skills.
