Introduction and Scope
摘要
Cultural heritage represents humanity’s achievements and serves as a bridge between the past and future, offering knowledge and tools for enlightenment. It plays a vital role in shaping community identity and history, despite being vulnerable to natural disasters and human actions. Protecting cultural heritage, from small artifacts to large monuments, is crucial due to their economic, social, and spiritual significance. Abandonment and destruction, driven by economic, environmental, and social factors, pose significant threats. Preservation requires interdisciplinary efforts and documentation, involving local communities, governments, and international organizations like UNESCO. Digital technologies and collaborative approaches enhance the preservation and appreciation of cultural heritage globally.
