Educators must understand global educational innovation trends without being confined to them. Ramírez-Montoya et al. [1] identified creativity, entrepreneurship, and implementation as key conceptual axes in Mexican Higher Education Institutions, emphasizing the importance of policy support for sustainable educational innovations. Active educational methodologies, particularly gamification, have gained prominence for enhancing digital skills and motivating learning through game design elements in non-game contexts [2]. Before implementing new educational practices and tools, educators must assess their effectiveness in teaching-learning processes, with advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), playing a crucial role. Machine learning, particularly clustering techniques, helps personalizing education by identifying learning preferences and segmenting student groups [3, 4]. This study proposes using gamification in Linear Algebra learning and a logistic regression model to evaluate the effectiveness of educational innovations in the learning processes. Students in the Technological University of Cancún’s TSU in Maintenance program experienced gamified linear algebra learning, integrating academic data into the artificial intelligence algorithm to determine innovation effectiveness and educational needs, ultimately personalizing education. The research question explored the impact of gamification tools on student performance in linear algebra.
