The objective of this research is to present a pilot study for an Arabic WorldNet extension based on morphological and lexical patterns. In this paper, a limited number of Arabic morphological structures (exclusively verbs) have been selected to analyze verb derivational generation. Our goal here is to study the relationship between the verb as a lexical/dictionary entry and the verb as a morphological structure. The specific aim is to demonstrate the role of the morpho-lexical level and its importance for Arabic WorldNet Data, particularly, and for language ontology, in general. Our proposal addresses morphological and lexical problems, focusing on the high degree of pattern derivation, encountered in some structures, as we will demonstrate in this study.

摘要
