Jaundice is a common clinical finding in the first 2 weeks of life and usually resolves spontaneously. Any jaundiced newborn after 2–3 weeks of life should be investigated to rule out neonatal cholestasis.

Jaundice is a common clinical finding in the first 2 weeks of life and usually resolves spontaneously. Any jaundiced newborn after 2–3 weeks of life should be investigated to rule out neonatal cholestasis.
