A Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) consists of mobile wireless nodes that operate autonomously. Topology control in a MANET provides construction of communication network links over wireless communication channels. Grouping of MANET nodes called clustering in a MANET is commonly employed to divide the nodes into small groups with a clusterhead in each group to manage the group activities. Efficient routing of messages in a MANET is needed for fast, reliable and effective communications. In this chapter, we describe algorithms for topology control, clustering and routing in MANETs and implement them in Python using mpi4py.
