Business Intelligence in the COVID-19 Era

This article aims to describe and concretely identify how business intelligence has evolved in the post-pandemic scenario and how companies have adapted to overcome this new challenge posed by the emergence of COVID-19, leading to advancements in competitive advantages within the market. Business intelligence has a short history and methods used before reaching its current definition and application, originating from a key factor: data processing. Data collection and storage were adopted in information systems, allowing business intelligence to evolve alongside Information Technology. With the emergence of the COVID-19 virus, companies were compelled to adopt technological measures to avoid disappearing. This trend gained impetus and gave rise to new projects and developments, significantly increasing data storage and processing, encompassing business intelligence. This shift changed the paradigm of companies, making it a key factor in decision-making and survival.
