Modern healthcare demands a personalized, efficient system meeting real-time data collection needs. Edge computing, coupled with 5G and advanced computing, satisfies latency requirements. This paper surveys emerging edge computing architectures, emphasizing computing techniques like encryption and authentication for health applications. It delves into edge computing's role in vital sign monitoring, fall detection, and disease symptom monitoring, outlining challenges and proposing future research directions for enhanced healthcare quality. Empowerment is commonly defined through anticipated outcomes rather than its inherent nature, lacking specificity due to a disregard for self-determination principles. The process analysis reveals that educational objectives focus on general psychosocial skills, employing patient-centered experiential learning. A continuous, self-involved provider-patient relationship is crucial. While no comprehensive theory emerges, guiding principles and values are identified.

摘要
