In this paper, we compare and analyze the Bit Error Rates of the most prominent Digital Modulation Techniques such as Binary Amplitude Shift Keying (BASK), Binary Frequency Shift Keying (BFSK), Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK). The results are compared in terms of their bit error rate (BER) performance for various signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) levels and different. The hardware analysis is carried out by passing the modulated signals through a 650 nm Laser kit and observing the Eye Pattern, which aids us in comparing Bit Error Rates for various Data Rates. The software analysis uses mathematical models and computer simulations on MATLAB. The results of this study will select the appropriate modulation scheme for the Free Space Optical communication system.
