Task Allocation in Edge Computing to Industrial Internet

Task allocation in industrial vehicles is challenging due to the high level of interference from industrial equipment on the communication network. Our proposed method involves task allocation to industrial vehicles using edge nodes, which reduces latency. The solution is based on the Simulated Annealing meta-heuristic to find the best service order within the time constraint. The results obtained in the iFogSim simulator show that the task allocation was able to satisfy 93% of the requests on average in different scenarios and converged quickly to the optimal solution.
