In order to maintain efficient transmission of electricity utility providers and their customers, they rely on a regular exchange of data between network components and management systems. However, managing the enormous amount of data created by smart meters poses difficulties in terms of data security, accuracy, storage, and privacy. Big Data analytics is used in the energy sector to understand the vast amount of data and manage it effectively. Big data management entails data cleansing, applications for making decisions, as well as the integration of several data sources. This paper investigates large data management and suggests a management strategy to aid in the management of data in the grid. Understanding the grid’s sources and data kinds required the use of data management tools and methodologies. This strategy provides insight into customer behavior and energy consumption patterns, and helps optimize network operations. The significance of putting in place strong security measures to safeguard sensitive data about energy use from cyberattacks and data breaches. With the growing reliance on smart grid technology, it cannot be understated. Big data analytics can help energy companies overcome these challenges in order to leverage the benefits of the smart grid while minimizing dangers to consumer privacy and data security.
