Cyber Security Flaws of Single Sign on Methods
摘要
With a single set of login credentials, a user can able to access various applications using the Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication and authorisation process. Simply put, SSO unifies several application login pages into one, allowing users to enter their credentials such as username and password only once to gain access to all applications without having to authenticate into each one separately.By eliminating the need to repeatedly sign in and out of a range of web, on-premises, and cloud services, SSO helps end users save time and effort. Many alternative approaches are now being utilised to deploy SSO in various applications. Despite the fact that all login methods have security flaws, SSO is one of the most secure ones that is utilised globally. Even the newest techniques, including Keycloak, OAuth, JWT, and OpenID, have drawbacks.
