Introduction
摘要
Plastics have been an integral part of our modern world for more than 60 years. They are irreplaceable and ubiquitous. However, the linear production model of our economy has led to serious environmental problems. This book focuses on three major challenges relating to the global tension between demographic development and planetary limits, which are particularly pertinent to plastics and the industry. The central parts of the book deal with these challenges and their respective solutions in the context of the circular economy of plastics and circular feedstock. The remaining sections of the book address the material itself, as well as cross-cutting topics such as life cycle assessments (LCAs) and European regulations.
