The Years of Research, Consulting, and Teaching (1979–1995)
摘要
This chapter of the book refers to the sixteen years (1979–1995) when the focus of my professional work was primarily on the three areas mentioned in the subtitle. Each of them alone would be enough to be the sole topic of a multi-decade professional career. If I mention three focal points here for just one and a half decades, the question is legitimate: is this time sufficient for anyone to create something lasting in any field? The answer is clearly that without being a rare genius and an immeasurable luck that comes with it, the mentioned duration is not enough for a young professional to inscribe his name in the symbolic golden book of the Engineering profession.
