This study examines the process of preparing future college teachers for teaching activities using the Plickers mobile app. Mobile applications are actively used in the practice of teaching students at the university at the stage of testing knowledge, explaining new material and in the process of solving practical problems. Objective: The purpose of this research study is a theoretical and methodological analysis of the benefits from using mobile application and testing experimentally the effectiveness of the use of this technology in evaluating students ' knowledge on the example of the Plickers mobile application. Methods: The basis of the study is the analysis of educational literature, analysis of educational documents, scaling, ranking, testing, analysis and synthesis, a pedagogical experiment. Findings: This article analyzes the experience of using digital technologies of Russian and foreign scientists. A pilot study was conducted proving the effectiveness of the Plickers mobile application the process of professional developing, the advantages and disadvantages were identified, which is confirmed by a comparative analysis of the control stage of the study. Conclusion and novelty: The use of mobile applications in the process of training future college teachers has broad prospects for development in the educational process, is justified by increasing the motivation of students to the process of professional educating, improving academic performance.
