The foundations of the formation of the skill of correct selection of educational Internet information in children of middle school age, including the pedagogical conditions under which this process will be effective, the principles of taking into account the socio-psychological characteristics of children of middle school age, and the characteristics of the methodology itself are revealed. It is concluded that for students, the content of education acts as an experience acquired by them under the influence of the pedagogical system: solutions to feasible independent work, understanding, communication, analytical and emotional assessment of the accessible part of the world. With regard to the general education school, the solution of this problem is also associated with the analysis of the impacts exerted on the educational process. In accordance with this, the correctness of the selection of educational Internet information must meet the criteria for the completeness and consistency of the types of activities necessary for the development of the intellectual abilities of the individual and the inculcation of the skills required to perform various types of activities within a specific academic discipline, must meet the goals, objectives and requirements of to a specific level and type of training.
