In this chapter, we examine a few kinds of entropy of cellular automata (shortly, CAs) on the ring \(\mathbb {Z}_m\) in detail by first giving the measure-theoretic approaches and then the topological definitions. If the dimension of CA is greater than 1, then both the measure-theoretic and topological entropy are either zero or infinite [22], therefore we deal with only the entropy of 1D CAs.
