Analysis of Dynamic Shear Modulus Ratio and Damping Ratio of Soils in Heilongjiang Region

The research findings regarding the dynamic shear modulus ratio and damping ratio in soil dynamic analysis, based on data from Heilongjiang province, suggest significant insights. The statistical analysis of 415 soil dynamic shear modulus ratio and damping ratio groups reveals important trends for different soil types at varying burial depths. By considering a burial depth of 10 m as the statistical interval, the study provides valuable statistical values that are further validated through comparison with existing results and seismic response analysis of the actual site. Key findings indicate that the statistical values, recommended values, and standard values fall within a reasonable range, affirming the applicability of the statistical values in Heilongjiang Province. Moreover, the study shows that for the same soil type, the dynamic shear modulus ratio tends to increase while the damping ratio decreases with increasing burial depth. Additionally, the research highlights how the seismic response varies based on soil type, particularly with higher seismic intensities. It is observed that under low seismic intensity, the seismic response results for different soil types are similar, but these differences become more pronounced as seismic intensity increases. Overall, the research outcomes offer valuable insights for engineering seismic resistance and site seismic safety evaluations in the Heilongjiang region. The findings have practical implications and can serve as a reference for seismic mitigation and safety measures in the area.
