In this contribution, an experiment has been conducted to investigate crucial questions with specific reference to the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its potentials in primary schools. What has been specifically analyzed is AI impact on children’s motivation in the development of creative thinking. The study has been conducted on the following aspects: what are the opportunities for AI in teaching practices in early education? Can AI support children’s motivation in developing creative skills such as producing a fairy tale or a musical composition? The study aimed to evaluate, through applied teaching activities, what is the role that AI can play in the learning context in the ages of between 6 and 10. The results highlight a significant impact of AI on the motivation of children; future research developments aim to explore the specific aspects on which software can impact the development of their divergent thinking.

摘要
