In this paper, we introduce an Electroencephalography (EEG) based biometric identification method. Our research focuses on new methods, what the previous researchers did not cover. The new method we introduce is more accurate and reliable than the previous ones. In today’s world, information security and impersonation are a common and exceptionally important problem. Everyday, we come face to face with multiple forms of impersonation, like a hijacked social media account or in more severe cases, identity theft. Biometric identification is becoming an increasingly important field, with new methods racing against each other. EEG is a method to record the electrogram of the electrical activity of the brain. The biological signal detected by the EEG has proven to be a relatively low error risk way of biometric identification. The previous researches focused on identification based on general brain activity or the Alpha-brainwaves. In this research paper we focused on identification based on Beta-brainwaves, as well as a new signal processing method using Discrete Fourier-Transformation (DFT).
