The most frequent and important sexually transmitted infections (STI’s) gonorrhea, syphilis, and ulcus mole (chancroid) also belong to the not clearly defined neglected tropical diseases (NTD)’s since in poor countries with low-level education, they have a relatively high socioeconomic impact.
