It is quite concerning how much harmful leftover has been produced from industries connected to the textile. The global accumulation of textile waste in municipal solid garbage has significantly surged due to the expansion of the textile and clothing sectors, as well as the fast-changing fashion preferences of consumers. The unacceptable processing and irregular disposal of textile waste results in environmental pollution (in landfills, the air, and the water), which negatively impacts human health. The upgrading of modern industrialisation has recently been acknowledged as one of the pronounced critical variables for environmental sustainability. As a result, textile businesses have been working to develop goods based on sustainability in every sector while keeping their environmental regulations. As a result, environmental safety concerns related to the correct disposal of fabric waste have garnered more attention. 25% of fabric waste is recycled or repurposed whereas 75% is landfilled globally. Technologies for recycling and reusing textiles are widely accessible and have been improved. This chapter will highlight the difficulties and problems associated with handling textile waste considering environmental concerns and will provide strategies for maximizing the value of this resource. To manage textile waste, this article will also discuss about re usage and recycling skills.
