The SAGES MASTERS program offers structured, long-term educational pathways tailored for surgeons. It organizes training modules into three skill levels: competency, proficiency, and mastery. This program encompasses various sub-specialties, and this chapter focuses on the pancreas pathway. Each skill level in this pathway is further divided into three stages: preoperative, intraoperative, and post-operative. The competency stage addresses minimally invasive distal pancreatectomy with splenectomy. The proficiency stage delves into spleen-preserving distal pancreatectomy, while the mastery stage covers radical antegrade modular pancreatosplenectomy. Every stage offers a wealth of educational materials, such as SAGES library videos, key articles, and online forums. These forums promote collaborative learning and allow peer-to-peer feedback on submitted surgical videos.
