Rectal Trauma
摘要
Traumatic rectal injury may be the result of a blunt or penetrating mechanism. Initial evaluation requires adherence to the principles of Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and the exclusion of concomitant life-threatening injuries. While management has historically mandated fecal diversion, contemporary data suggests an individualized approach dictated by the location and extent of the injury and the hemodynamic and metabolic status of the patient.
