This chapter discusses traumatic intracranial hemorrhage (ICH). The most common types of traumatic ICH are epidural, subdural, subarachnoid, and intraparenchymal hematomas. A typical scenario will involve a traumatic event that results in a head injury with altered mental status. Common neurological deficits of patients with traumatic ICH are discussed, as well as surgical and medical treatments, complications, common curveballs, clean kills, and words of wisdom pertinent to the oral boards.
