Condylomata Acuminata
摘要
Condylomata acuminata, a condition resulting from infection by human papillomaviruses (HPV), presents predominantly as warts in the anogenital region. Multiple types of HPV have been identified, with types 6 and 11 primarily associated with genital warts. Conversely, high-risk types, such as HPV 16 and 18, are linked to the development of precancerous lesions. Transmission predominantly occurs through sexual contact; however, vertical transmission during childbirth has also been documented. Diagnosis is based on clinical evaluation, with biopsies used in certain cases. Treatment options depend on the specific symptoms observed. While the available treatments have proven effective, the virus cannot be eliminated. Preventive measures, including vaccination against specific HPV types in alignment with national vaccination guidelines, are recommended to thwart the onset of genital warts and precancerous lesions. Additionally, individuals are encouraged to limit sexual partners and utilize condoms to mitigate infection risk.
