Digital badges contribute to educational innovation by recognizing achievements and competencies, or high performance, so there is a great interest among students in the knowledge learned to obtain greater visibility and benefit for their professional development and competitiveness. The present research had as a case study the Technological University Israel of Ecuador to analyze how the integration of digital badges in the educational environment can contribute to the recognition of achievements and skills of students. The analytical method was applied by having as a reference point the data from the survey conducted in the year 2022 to teachers and students about the benefits and motivation generated by digital badges. To reinforce this theme, data was collected, analyzed, and interpreted in the grade reports obtained by students from 1st to 8th level between the years 2021 and 2023 in international certification courses with digital badges. Also, a literature review on the subject was performed. The results show that with the integration of digital badges as part of the curriculum in 2022, there was a positive impact on the recognition of achievements demonstrated in the interest and motivation in the classroom. In addition to the increase in the percentage of approval, which went from 50.47% in the year 2021 to 72.72% in the year 2022 and 79.30% in the year 2023, it also increased the passing grade by more than 90 points, which in 2021 was 23.30%, in 2021 was 32.58%, and in 2023 was 45.18%.
