Qualitative-Based Versus Quantitative-Based Research
摘要
This chapter presents another fruitful discussion among researchers worldwide: qualitative-based research versus quantitative-based research. In general, quantitative research seeks to understand the causal or correlational relationship between variables through testing hypotheses. In contrast, qualitative research seeks to understand a phenomenon within a real-world context through interviews and observation. Examples of the use of each of the approaches will be provided.
