This chapter examines major congenital disorders of the scalp, including cutis verticis gyrata, aplasia cutis, and congenital triangular alopecia. These conditions, while relatively rare, can have significant implications for affected individuals, both functionally and aesthetically. To aid in the accurate diagnosis and management of these conditions, advanced imaging techniques such as scalp ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are invaluable. Scalp ultrasonography provides detailed, real-time insights into the superficial structures of the scalp, while MRI offers a comprehensive view of deeper tissues and abnormalities. By integrating these imaging modalities into the diagnostic process, this chapter aims to enhance understanding and facilitate more precise and effective treatment strategies for congenital scalp disorders.
