Clinical, Imaging, and Histological Findings in Infectious Lesions of the Nail and Periungual Region
摘要
Infectious lesions of the nail and periungual region present unique diagnostic challenges that are increasingly addressed through advanced imaging techniques. This chapter explores the application of diagnostic imaging in identifying and managing three prevalent infectious conditions: onychomycosis, viral warts, and cellulitis. Each of these infections affects the nail and surrounding tissues in distinct ways, requiring precise imaging to differentiate between them and guide effective treatment. By examining the role of various imaging modalities in detecting these infections, this chapter aims to enhance the understanding of their clinical manifestations and improve diagnostic accuracy. Clinicians will find valuable insights into how imaging can support the diagnosis and management of these common yet complex infectious conditions.
